1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using MenuLingo ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
MenuLingo provides a digital menu management platform that allows restaurants to create, translate, and share multilingual menus via QR codes. Features include menu creation, AI-powered translations, allergen tagging, QR code generation, and analytics.
3. Account Registration
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service
- One person or entity may not maintain multiple free accounts
4. Subscription Plans & Billing
Plans
- Demo (Free): Limited preview mode with watermark, not for public use
- Starter ($39/month): Full features for 1 restaurant
- Business ($99/month): Full features for up to 5 restaurants
Billing Terms
- Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance
- Annual plans receive a discount (2 months free)
- All prices are in USD and exclude applicable taxes
- We use Stripe for secure payment processing
5. Cancellation & Refunds
- You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- No refunds for partial months or unused features
- Annual subscriptions may be refunded within 14 days of purchase if no menus have been published
6. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights
- Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Use the Service to spam or harass others
- Scrape or automate access to the Service without permission
- Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
- Publish false allergen information that could harm customers
7. Content Ownership
- You retain ownership of all content you upload (menus, images, descriptions)
- You grant us a license to display, process, and translate your content as part of the Service
- We may use anonymized, aggregated data for analytics and service improvement
- MenuLingo branding, code, and design remain our intellectual property
8. AI Translation Disclaimer
AI-powered translations are provided for convenience and may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all translations before publishing. MenuLingo is not liable for translation inaccuracies.
9. Allergen Information Disclaimer
AI allergen suggestions are provided as a starting point only. You are solely responsible for ensuring accurate allergen information on your menus. MenuLingo is not liable for allergic reactions or health issues resulting from incorrect allergen labeling.
10. Service Availability
- We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
- We may perform maintenance with reasonable notice
- We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MENULINGO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may retain certain data as required by law.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
